Shannan Calcutt's clown Izzy says it best: subtlety is not her
forte. And looking at her in a wedding dress, life jacket, red
nose and teased hair, it's easy to see why. Last year Calcutt's
Burnt Tongue was a sell-out and she seems poised to do it all
again. In last years peice, Izzy was waiting for a blind date.
Here, she is waiting again, this time for acceptance into a
convent. Not likely. In this more physical show, Calcutt flies
around the stage, illustrating her plan to force chivalry on
an unsuspecting male. With a script that is both intricately
prepared and open to improv, one never knows what Izzy will
do next ... but it's bound to be worth the price of admission.
